Your post is exactly what is wrong with the Internet.
Whether you agree with his post or not, the link you provided does not provide any back ground to why he posted what he did, it is completely without context.
Why would you not be surprised if I was confused….why even bring up the suggestion that I may be confused. Comes across a bit condescending.
All I said was that the post did not provide context, which it didn’t. Nor does your attempt, you are only providing the information you want me to hear.
To be clear, I am not defending Musk or at the same time do I condone a lot of the things he says.
My post was not entirely directed at Musks post but the internet in general. People are too happy to forward on posts, form beliefs and perspectives because it follows the popular narrative. I suppose it is easier than forming their own opinion.
Perhaps it simply is the case that it already aligns with their internal narrative, and that’s why they don’t need to process it further? That might be why the “popular narrative” is popular, after all.
But isn’t that the concern? Just because it aligns with their internal narrative, doesn’t mean it’s right. What if their internal narrative is to just accept what they are told and not to process it, because they would be in the wrong.
If we accepted popular narrative, the earth would be flat, we would still be chucking sh*t out of our window and women would not be allowed to vote. Because why should we process it any further?
Musk is a cunt, who said a very cunty thing and the context is in the Tweet I quoted. Not my job to present each post with a summary of the day’s news.
If only there was a machine where infinite information was available at one’s fingertips…
The reason I suggested you may be confused is because Musk’s tweet doesn’t really make any sense. He’s a very sad man with a terrible sense of humour.
I don’t know what additional context you need. You seem to have brought some weird baggage into this conversation and thrown it all at a weird tweet by a weird old billionaire. It’s very easy to look up the context if you care that much. As @SBYM says it’s not his job to provide you with with a daily news summary.
Musk may well be a C***, but your post/the tweet you quoted does not provide any context what so ever.
I’m not asking you to provide a summary of the news, unless that’s your job… I just said that I believe your post/quote/tweet did not provide the context behind his tweet.
The information was there at your finger tips, yet you chose to present part of the story to suit your agenda.
so because I suggested a tweet @SBYM forwarded, did not provide the context behind Musk’s comments, I am confused and further more being weird.
Does the tweet show the comment Taylor Swift made to which he is replying? Does he at any point say he was going to put a child in her?
Look, I’m not a fan of the guy, far from it. But by providing half a story you are misleading people.,
