I read recently that Markel is stepping away from certain lines of insurance due to the growth in the size of awards juries were awarding in cases
There was a TV program on here last year called The Jury.
12 random members of the public following an actual case as it was played out.
Summary of the case, a bloke in an abusive relationship (her to him), bludgeoned her to death with a hammer.
He’d started strangling her, then stopped to go out to his shed to get the hammer he killed her with.
There were 2 juries, each unaware of the other.
One found him guilty, the other found him not guilty.
You will have heard a lot during covid that it’s not possible to sue the vaccine companies for harm and that is a demonstration that they dont have trust in the safety of their products. That isnt true though. What happened is that in the 80s the US government responded to a series of bad jury decisions that were not supported by science. That created real concern that biotech would walk away from vaccine development entirely as it was becoming not worth their time with the amount of bad cases being brought against them. So the FDA stepped in to say “it is essential to public health these companies continue to work on these products, so we’re going to step in and take the legal liability over safety issues seeing as we are the body we approve these things.”
As a patient you can still sue, and the companies are still liable for damages for negligence and/or malfeasance. But bog standard harms claims are now covered by the regulatory agency to protect the companies themselves from such a bad way of adjudicating scientific matters

Arseholes will always be arseholes. The so-call foundations and donations are just for shows. Incident like this peels off the façade (oh, is there a nutjob conspiracy theory that Zuckerburg is one of those lizard people? Still didn’t show his lizard face 
).
Oh, in the same video after the Zuckerburg’s incident, John Henry’s yacht had smoky engine, parked at Monaco.
