Bournemouth vs. Liverpool: League Cup Fourth Round, November 1, Wednesday 19:45

Considering we are playing a PL side away from home it’s not a strong side for me.

Salah and Szoboszlai the only clear first choice players.

Matip, Jones and Gakpo close.

The other 6 players are second choice at best.

Compared to EL midweeks we have an extra day to prepare for the PL this week so for my liking Klopp should have gone a bit stronger.

There’s 3-4 current starters in that XI.

With 5 subs, if the game is going to plan, we can be economical with minutes.

So the starting XI is a bit less than half a team, which is often under Klopp, but the bench is a bit stronger.

We might see more rotation in the remaining EL group stage games.

I think that just shows how much stronger our squad is these days than it used be

TBH, I was expecting Mac Allister to start this one and then rest against Luton in order to avoid suspension for the City match.

Strange lineup. Mo, Dom and Harvey all in the lineup - the last time Jürgen put all of them on the field, Szobo was playing on the left side and did not look even half as good as usual. Not sure if it is going to work well tonight. Nevertheless, we should still be too good for the Cherries.

Appears to be raining sideways at the Vitality stadium lol.

that looks properly fucking gross

Sometimes they refer to the squad as the group of players who travel to the game, not just those selected in the 18. I’m sure Doak and McConnell will be in Bournemouth, they just weren’t selected.

Which direction is the wind going?

Goalkeeper probably shouldn’t be passing it to the CBs when Bournemouth clearly have set up for the immediate press.

I know its how we play but sometimes you need a bit of logic to be applied also.

I am on this coast….it’s very windy and very wet tonight….

Some quality moments there from Jones.

Klopp seems extremely animated already today.

Tsimikas has a bit of a shiner. A bit like me. Did he fall down the stairs of my mate’s house in Warrington?

im in favour of this cup this season simply because it gives game time to our new players

Hi lads, any good stream available?

Quansah trying to be Matip.

yes yes

Three times already Kelleher has given the ball to Quansah when he’s got two or more Bournemouth players near him.

I don’t get it.
