We got the Here we Go from Romano. Welcome to Liverpool, Barcola!
He just needs to fly over and do the medical now hopefully.
Who’s excited?

That’s classic as he’s pitched a deal that covers both ones that are reported.

Yes, that really is another very informative video; I had already watched it myself. This time, though, I deliberately waited for the “here we go” before looking into the player in more detail. Otherwise, I find it too disappointing if nothing comes of it after all.

Dont have insta so cant see, but assume its the same as his tweet where he’s used pounds for the initial fee then euros for the add ons?

140€ is approx 120£ so he’s reporting the same fees as everyone else. Just in typical Romano fashion he’s doing it like a bellend.

He said 100m with add ons tabling 40m so effectively could be the Joyce price or the French Paul Joyce

My god. What a time to have been alive.

Yeah but hes used different currencies for the figures. Pounds for the 100, Euros for the 140 (this is 120 in pounds).

Hawkins and Joyce are actually agreed on the fee, just reporting in different currencies as one is english one is french.

Romano is mixing between the two currencies in the same sentence because he’s a gimp

All fans should ignore Fabrizio Bullshiter and he would have to ho back to be the bin man he was.

Can Brad fill in up front if we sell Gakpo?

I fear we’re turning into Man Utd,

just blowing loads of cash on players for the sake of it,
in the hope it’ll make us a better team

100% my fear as well. we used to buy players with potential, and help them develop. The 2018/19/20 team was full of players like that.

Now, we buy over-priced and underperforming players from clubs that are doing what we USED to do. Ticket prices will have to go up now.

I prefer the former over the latter.

we have actually DECREASED in value for most of the big $$ signings over the past two years.

I loved those years of feeling we were the underdogs battling the megabucks teams. We had Klopp then though, and he’s a unicorn

In fairness, are we not kind of doing that? Jacquet is young, Wirtz was 22, Barcola what 23?

These aren’t world class players or big names yet exactly. Still considered to be talented and young and needing some development.

Just a question of if we are chasing the expensive ones when we shouldnt be.

there are no added value appreciation in this group right now, save maybe Szobo. We are paying top dollar for every player we are brining in, it seems.

Perhaps but it’s not like we sold Salah, Mane, Van Dijk or Ali when their values appreciated.

I think the difference is that prices have appreciated massively. We did expect Isak to be a signing on the level of Van Dijk& Ali and probably expected it of Wirtz too. Van Dijk was a top dollar signing, as was Ali really for his position.

We have brought in Munoz who was much cheaper too I suppose.

true, but we were so good at the time that any move for them was a step down.

why would you move when you’re on top? Right, Trent?

Yeah. That should be our ambition again though.

To be honest, it’s hard to know what our plan is or strategy. We paid a mega fee for Barcola but then got Munoz for not very much. The third a loan cover player.

The issue now is the market has gone mad Since Jan 23 there has been 10 transfers in excess of 100m. The top 20 transfers this season the lowest is 51m.
