Admittedly, I was really quite reserved about this transfer; I had absolutely no feeling about it—neither good nor bad—until I saw videos of him as a child / teenager. That actually moved and impressed me. Well then… I’m curious to see how it turns out.

Wow that is some player, now if he delivers on his vast talent the price tag will vanish and his value will rocket. He will be very valuable in the league to help Wirtz and Isak but he will be devastating in the CL, to say i am excited is an understatement. The video didn’t sugarcoat his abilities but emphasized all the cons but the pros are wonderful. I hope this video is played to both Wirtz and Isak. All of a sudden all our woes with the potential departure of Gakpo and no replacements available yet, have suddenly lightened a touch.

Great that Barcola can run in behind at pace but who do we have to provide the pass aside from Wirtz? All teams need to do is mark Wirtz heavily and our creativity is gone.
We absolutely need to speed up our passing through the lines and I can only see Nyoni providing more ability there. I trust Iraola though.
Barcola has a decent pass and move game though. Better than any of our current wide players.
But maybe our RW signing (if we do make one) should be somebody a little more technical and creative then, just in case.
Will he be available for Friday?
I assume he will. Probably not starting, but I’m expecting he’ll be in the squad.
