A man has shot several people dead, others wounded, unclear how many, with a bow and arrows in Kongsberg. First shot people in a grocery store, then traveled around and killed or at least shot people elsewhere.
But the police is not saying much at all. Just horrible stories from those who ran for cover. He has been apprehended and police fired shots. General preparedness is up, and police are being armed across the country in case there are further attacks in the future.

terrorism seems like a word that has become aligned with acts of random violence. maybe I’m too old to have always associated that term with politically-motivated groups who use violence as a means to their cause. back to the days of plane hi-jacking, car bombs, public executions of prisoners, piracy.

This is not called terrorism, it is treated as it can be terrorism. Because if it is, there could be further copy cats if there is a political cause. And by no means is this a random act of violence. I don’t think you realise how much work it is to kill 5 people and wound several others with a bow and arrows. It requires a lot of commitment, takes a lot of time and conviction. But sure, everyone is hoping that it is a mentally disturbed person that has totally snapped and that it is not terror, but it would be foolish to not treat it as a possible terror attack given the scale of the attack. .

By the way @Kopstar , police is refusing to divulge the nature of the victims including if anyone is related, so you should read what I said as informed speculation more than facts (informed because of what I have read about the attack, how he moved around and shot people at several places etc.).
