Toni Kroos will retire from football after the tournament in the summer.

Straight into management at BM?

He’s probably on their list.

Though the list is about 400 names long.

I think this could actually work.

Surely Poch would be more attractive.

Burnley can go for Poch then.

Have the feeling that this might be the smartest thing Bayern have done in a long time.

I think Kompany will turn out to be a very good coach and probably perfect way to prove that at a big club coming from a catastrophic season.

He’s a leader and has that natural authority. At the same time he can be a prick so perfect at Bayern.

Think he’s also fluent in German.

He’s never managed a big club and his European record amounts to getting Anderlecht knocked out of the Europa Conference League qualifiers.

It’s a massive risk that Bayern are taking and I can see nothing in Kompany’s managerial record to suggest that it’s going to pay off.

Yep, did not have that one on my Bayer Manager Bingo card…

Same with Flick and he won them the Sixtuple.

True, but it’s expecting an awful lot for lightning to strike twice.

It’s Kompanys luckiest day since that fucking shot that cost us the league.

It might actually finally prove the point that you can win anything if you are handed a massive amount of cash and pick of players but wouldn’t keep a Burnley side up.

If truth be told honestly I’d have Arne Slot any day just based on what they’ve done.

Its a bit weird but maybe he’s exactly what they need, brave move or pure desperation we will see. At least he knows the Bundesliga and also speaks German.

The underwhelming reaction is sort understandable but either he will prove to everyone how good he is or he will completely ruin his reputation, tbf even as a really great coach you can fail in Munich if the team is against you, it’s difficult.

Nonetheless …entertaining times, that video is great, imagine him talking like that in their dressing room to Kane and Dier etc :joy:
