Seems like this would be a very intuitive match with what’s left of the framework left by Xabi.

Realised the mistake they made 2 months after everyone else.

Apparently not a wind-up. Was that 3 games in charge including the cup game? That’s even less than Brian Clough at Leeds. They’ll have to do a film about it: Bayer Verdammt

HSV will sign both Albert Sambi Lokonga and Fabio Vieira (on loan with option to buy) from Arsenal. Especially Vieira, incredible.

How bad must relationships be to be forced out after 3 games when you only lost 1 of them?

Honestly, this looks as bad on Leverkusen as it does on Ten Hag himself for them to have hired him in the first place if he is this clearly out of sync with them.

As far as I understand, there were already “human difficulties” during the preseason tour, doubts about leadership, and now, as the season got underway, there was great uncertainty within the team. Nobody seemed to know what to do, etc. But perhaps the Leverkusen fans here can tell us a little more about that.

I think they are hanging around in the Wirtz thread

@Unbeaten can you tell us a bit more please?

Yea I read some of the interviews after this match that didnt reflect well on management, stuff like everyone playing for themselves and no one knew what they were supposed to be doing. But again, they hired him. I cannot comprehend how personal dynamics so bad that they require this action could have been missed in the interview process.

Stunning, but in the end, irrelevant. Man Utd have broken him as it seems.

I only hope that the change won’t unsettle Quansah’s standing as first-team player. Fingers crossed. :crossed_fingers:

Well, sounds like they won’t want to sell us Olise next season then :joy:

He also completely forgets that some of the clubs really depend on the money. Or maybe he doesn’t approve of the fact that a lot of money is now flowing to the so-called “smaller clubs.” He’s probably still dreaming of Wirtz and Woltemade.

Typical from that cunt. Destroyed the quality of the Bundesliga in the last 30 years by buying off every other clubs good players.

Being hit with a reality check that Bayern can not compete with the top half teams from the PL and suddenly he wants the Bundesliga to stick with him.

There’s a reason why Leverkusen did not want to sell Wirtz to team or Stuttgart did not bite off Bayerns €60m offer for Woltemade.

Hilarious! They are so hurt that nobody throws themselves at their feet anymore. Poor little Bayern  :broken_heart:

I have no idea if this is all true, but it would explain a lot.

Erik ten Hag said that he “never [had] a relationship based on mutual trust” with the Bayer Leverkusen bosses, but the club views it more as a rapid loss of trust in a short period of time, for which EtH must entirely blame himself.

B04 were already disappointed during training camp in Brazil - the quality of training and lack of emotion in team building were met with great surprise.

Whether on the pitch, in internal meetings, or in public relations – everywhere, ten Hag left other employees shaking their heads. The doubts intensified in the following weeks.

Ten Hag is described as resistant to advice, repeatedly attempting to interfere in squad planning despite prior agreements, and increasingly suggesting players from “his” agency, SEG.

He also failed to connect with the team and coached without emotion - for example, he didn’t even address the team at all before the Bundesliga opener against Hoffenheim and even expressed surprise afterward that the locker room was so quiet. Some players couldn’t believe it.

All of this led to ten Hag’s sacking - even a victory in Bremen wouldn’t have saved him, so shocked was the club’s management.

So Bayern can go back to buying the best players from other German rivals.

Must have suggested Onana and Antony. That was evidently the last straw for the Leverkusen bosses.
