Bundesliga / German NT

Suggesting players from his agency is concerning. He’s probably linked with one of the agents there. He shouldn’t be as a manager recommending too many players from that agency. It’s a conflict of interest.

Nothing much wrong with the agency though, they have Pep Guardiola and Cody Gakpo in their client list.

The only other manager that I recollect who pushed players from his agency was ole with Manchester United.

Yeah, it is a bit rich for a Bayern guy to complain that the money is spoiling everything. They are not as able to pick the Bundesliga clean of talent as they were 10 years ago.

That’s quite hilarious. But I’m shocked to hear that this guy managed to get himself 19.5 millions in such a short time. Talk about rewarding mediocrity!

Yeah, made me laugh, that! It’s as hypocritical as it gets, but that’s Hoeness for you.

I thought the first line was going say he doesn’t get along with anyone even himself.

Germany now 2:0 down against Slovakia. They don’t exactly look full of ideas.

Is our new lad playing?

Wirtz? Yes. He had a couple of nice runs in the penalty box, but also gave away possession before one of the goals.

Germany has a right back…named Collins?!

That was hardly an inspiring performance from the Germans. But to be fair, the Slovakians played well.

Just seen the highlights of the match.

I hope we kept the receipt.

It did occur to me that, for such a tall player, he struggled to get his head on a cross.

Had a few flashes of quality, but overall was struggling with the pace of Slovakian football

I watched the game because i was curious to see how our new lad would be playing within a more familiar environment. The least I can say is that it was a disappointment. A few good runs with one reasonable chance at the end of it, a few subtle passes towards his team-mates, a couple of good corners into the box, and that’s it. Over 90 minutes.

But then again, the whole German team was bereft of everything: energy, fighting spirit, togetherness and ideas. Every single player was below par, and the whole team looked apathic. Very strange that, especially for a German national team.

The Slovakians on the other hand played as a team, with a clear game plan and much aggressivity and purpose on every 50-50 situation. They were far from being genius, but came out deserved winners. Had they been more clinical, it would have ended 5-0.

Makes me think which England will turn up. We got thumped at home by Senegal last time.

We Germans will not qualified for 2026 FIFA World Cup with this performance. No joke. That was horrible. No fight, no spirit.

It’s an astonishing stat that yesterday was their first ever loss away in WC qualifying. EVER.
