I was in Dresden a few years ago and loved it so the above took me to YouTube for some memories.
What did I find?
Liverpool v Dresden 1976 UEFA Cup quarter final leg 1. Dresden were top of the East German League.
What a side we had. I’m watching now. Gold.
“Ultra clips”
Can we just relabel it hooligans
Well, in Germany, these fan groups are called Ultras. Hooligans would be more of a term referring to English or foreign football fans.
But they are criminals, ultras is a lovely little tag that they can use to pretend themselves as real fans but they have no interest in the game they’ve gone over to have a fight and there are kids there.
Sadly it shows some of the best but then makes light at some utterly appalling behaviour. Also all their posts are English so it’s certainly directed towards a certain audience.
I mean, if you look at their logo, it is literally a scrote in a bucket hat with his fists raised. Ultras groups do arrange some fun stuff in Bundesliga matches, but you also get the wrong sort latching on to them.
I do not like Ultras and i am happy, that i not be a Ultra. I am a fanatic, but only a «normal fan». I do want «English relations» in German stadiums.
Schlotterbeck got booed by Dortmund fans today because his new contract has a release clause in it

Fortuna Düsseldorf have fired their coach, Markus Anfang (meaning ‘Beginning’) and replaced him with a guy called Ende (‘End’).
Clearly just taking the piss.

The Union management and the Union Berlin admin have been doing an extremely good job since the announcement of the new (female) coach. There’s incredible stress on social media right now because of it, but I don’t want to go into that any further; they’re all sexist idiots, and I feel incredibly sorry for their wives, sisters, and daughters. Luckily, there’s also a larger group who wish her all the best and much success, TBF. So, today there was this tweet, among others, and I didn’t want to keep it from you.
