"I’ve done a lot of thinking in the days since our elimination and have consulted with trusted individuals both personally and within the federation. The decision was anything but easy for me. My top priority has always been the team’s success.
After such a bitter disappointment, they deserve the chance for a fresh start. I was listening to the radio (Rock rather than sports station) and there seems to be a 50/50 split between those that want Klopp immediately, and those that object to the DFB paying compensation to Red Bull.

The switch to Nike as the kit supplier comes at just the right time. It will provide the DFB with a sum in the hundreds of millions to get everything necessary off the ground. They certainly won’t let the chance to land Klopp slip away now.
Even though things might get messy or expensive regarding Red Bull—an issue where Klopp unfortunately lost a lot of goodwill—many German fans still have a problem with it. For a great many people, funneling money to Red Bull really crosses the line. That’s not exactly surprising.

So, things seem to line up quite nicely now… I always expected Kloppo to take on the German national team manager role at some point, and it seems that this point has come now.
I already look forward to the next European tournament. It will be really fun to watch Germany terrorize the other nations with his heavy-metal football!

I know it’s difficult to compare but the quality and squad he has now are much better than what he had when he came in at Liverpool.
I don’t think there will be more than 4 players over 30 in his squad in 2028. Kimmich will be 33. Nübel aus one of the backup goalkeepers 31. Late bloomers like Tah and Undav 32 and I doubt they will be able to keep their form up until then.
So the starting11 is going to be very young but experienced and Klopp can start working with them from September on.

They were supposed to train at a local football team but the manager said the pitch was shit and they didn’t bother.
They cancelled our school trip to meet them. Possibly Bury but it did piss me off at the time.
