Jamal Musiala has suffered a muscle tear in his right thigh. He is leaving the national team camp—as is Kai Havertz, who has sustained a muscle strain. Florian Wirtz and Jonathan Burkardt are joining the squad earlier than planned to take their places.

I wonder whether Klopp would be tempted to use Wirtz earlier, or stick to his 2 squad plan and leave him on the bench?

I expect Wirtz to start on Sunday. Without Havertz and Musiala I don’t think there’s enough quality in 'Squad 1’

Klopp refused to comment on what the English media is saying about Wirtz because he wants to avoid creating headlines.

Jürgen Klopp on Florian Wirtz:

“When you look at the overall context, Flo joined Liverpool at a very unfortunate time. It’s about the passing of Diogo Jota. He joined a team with players whose priority was not football at that time, which is very understandable.

“He learned a lot from his first year. Now it’s a new season under a new coach. He’s physically doing very well and the team is starting to find itself again. Attacking players always need a functioning team around them.

“Everyone who loves football can still see what an outstanding player Flo Wirtz is. We can’t do more than we’re doing here: build him up with enough training and playing time, bit by bit give him certainty and a good feeling, and then send him back to Liverpool. I wish him all the best.

Klopp says Wirtz won’t start tomorrow, because he found out yesterday morning that he has to come to Germany and only arrived yesterday evening.

Klopp just on now. He seemed somewhat offended by this being described as Zweite Garde (second string).

I honestly still find it very strange—and something that takes some getting used to—seeing Klopp there.

Klopp must think… I thought I had got rid of these cunts.

It seems the Bayern players are actually being booed quite persistently by some fans—no idea why. Doesn’t sound like a home game.

It’s completely out of line when it comes to the Augsburg-Munich rivalry; something like that wouldn’t even happen in Dortmund. I suppose that’s a place where you shouldn’t play anymore.

First half highlights for those that missed it.

What really upsets me right now are the disgusting racist comments online; apparently, we have too much “migration background” on the pitch. It’s absolutely awful.

Comments straight from hell—I’ve never experienced anything quite that extreme.
