Nice to see the relationships we have built up with PNE and Blackburn.

Confirmed. Good luck to him - was hoping to see more of him this year. Hopefully Bradley now!

Yeah, Championship is probably his level after the bad injuries heā€™s had. Hopefully he can fully recover his fitness and help us in 2024-25.

Good luck to the lad until then!

Edit: so, we need a new right back this summer, donā€™t we? Or do we have a youngster who can fill in as back-up? Millie isnā€™t here anymore.

It depends on the system we will employ, but between Bradley, Gomez, and Sepp, its covered to some degree. Ideally we get another (specialist full back) in, but I think CB is priority (and CMā€™s ). My gut feeling is, if a RB comes in, it will be later in the window after Kloppā€™s had a butchers at Bradley and Sepp as cover, and then whether a suitable full back is even available.

I think Sepp will be loaned again. Gomez and Bradley will be the backups for Trent.

Yeah I think Bradley and Gomez will be used there.

Canā€™t see us buying a right back especially when TAA is still first choice and we are adapting the system rather his actual place in a straight formation.

Personally feel Bradley will be sent back out on loan. Good season in League One, championship

Gomez to be shifted to right back. Maybe Nat to be kept to keep four centre backs?

Bradley fills the understudy role well enough. Gomez can see out games if need be.

Would also like to see Tsimikas / Bradley used in opposite sides as well. Like Tsimikas at RB and Bradley at LB. Itā€™s not nearly as far fetched as it sounds (especially since inverted wingbacks are a thing )

My old man was saying we could put Nat in the back 3 if we put him in the middle :joy:

Calvin:

ā€œIā€™m delighted to join Preston North End. The Championship is a top league as everyone knows and the main thing for me is trying to get game time, and Iā€™m going to be able to do that at a good club. I canā€™t wait to get started.

ā€œIā€™m happy to be getting the opportunity to get regular game time in a good league, which is important for me. I just need to work hard and try to play as many games as I can.

ā€œThere were quite a few clubs interested, but when I spoke to the manager (Ryan Lowe), everything that he said was spot on. The way the team plays, they like to play attacking football, keep the ball and get forward.

ā€œI think that suits my game because I can score and assist goals, and I like getting at people. Ultimately Preston suited me the best.ā€

Manager Ryan Lowe:

ā€œIā€™m really pleased weā€™ve managed to get Calvin through the door on a season-long loan.

ā€œHe fills a position weā€™ve been looking to fill for a while as it gives us good competition down that right-hand side where Brad Potts has obviously been fantastic.

ā€œIt gives us options now, too. Weā€™ve got a right back in the building as well as someone who can play right wing back.

ā€œHeā€™s energetic, heā€™s dynamic, and he can get himself up and down the pitch.

ā€œLiverpool obviously invested a lot of money in him after he came through at Aberdeen so we know the quality heā€™s got.ā€
