Carrick On Up The Khyber! It's the Manchester Untied thread

Nagelsmann won’t join them. His rep is barely intact. He shouldn’t be joining a shitshow like this.

They can have a resurrected Beckenbauer and Mario Zagallo joint manager. It won’t make a jot of difference. The whole place, the culture, the ownership, the recruitment operations, and the majority of the existing players combine to produce a severely toxic mix.
Unless they do a root and branch cleanup, like we had with Klopp+FSG, it won’t work.

We really had much lesser work to do considering hicks and gillete weren’t allowed to get entrenched into the structure for that long.

United has had glazers there for what how many years. The rot starts from them and then to Radcliffe (sorry @ZinedineBiscan )

His name is Jim Ratcliffe, what is everyone bellyaching about!

13 years since their last league title:

11 different coaches (if you don’t count Carrick twice), average table finish 5.8, 5 major trophies… and an almost constant disbalance in central midfield.

They’ll return eventually, one day, I have no doubts… but dear me, we’ve heard some false dawns. Almost every time.

Ah football fans delusion

26 more years of misery for them please.

And nagelsmann knowing how he’s got screwed over by bayern. Will take a very easy pass.

Whoever gets the job next there is only one certainty… @Nikola will declare them to be world class and that Man Utd are back.

At that point it will be like klopp deciding to take the mofe when he was first approached by Liverpool and not when he later signed on board.

He wanted brendan to fail because he has the bare minimum of the squad to do what he wanted them too .m

Doesn’t mean everything was playing sailing. But klopp knew when to press the button.

Also the reason for him to leave the man United pitch well alone

Nikolas kiss of death.

Trust the EPL fantasy league that we both are at.

You can’t say I haven’t been doing a great job so far!

Keep it up :ok_hand:

Oddest thing is I think a lot of people could see this a mile off really.

He had a good tenure for one season at Middlesbrough but if you were looking for coaches who over performed in that league who had the Man Utd history or as they call it DNA :joy: you’d look at the former Ipswich boss.

However get Conte in and get them crying in training as come match day they will all be fucked. I know some of our fan base were saying this about Iraola but evidently he’s done much more than just get them to run.

Nagelsmann is apparently keen to join them, but he’ll end up the same as ETH or Amorim - swallowed up by the magnitude of the job. He’s a young coach who’s had mixed success and failed in his last two “big” jobs.

There’s a monumental squad rebuild needed at United that will take at least 4 windows, and involves shipping out a lot of their overpaid shite. That’s going to result in a couple of middling to poor seasons before they can climb back up, and their fans just can’t seem to accept that, let along the club brass.

I’ve said it before, but I’ll be more concerned if they actually get a decent director of football in place who understands how to build a squad. They haven’t had that since Fergie left, instead preferring to overspend on perceived “big names” that do nothing for the way the manager wants to play. Remember when Ole seemed to actually be doing decently well? They’d finished second in the post-Covid season when there were no fans, and there had been some decent investment in the squad. Then the club brass got hilariously baited into buying an over the hill Ronaldo and it all went to shit. They’re fucking gormless. No gorm at all.

They need someone with an enormous personality. During that period of growth its not going to be good enough for most fans, and so they’ll need someone who is confident enough in themselves that he isnt going to feel the need to bullshit the fans about how good things are. He also needs to be brave enough to ask them to believe knowing they, but then not try to redirect blame to someone else when the loftier hopes dont get achieved. I don’t know who that is, but it sure as hell isnt Nagglesman.

Much of their problem is Fernandez. Moaning whining twat. Hands up all the time. Moaning at refs. He is no captain at all. The type of player they have consistently bought.

They seem to have a buy dickhead policy.
