Championship and Football League

He has honestly done some very impressive work. On paper, last season, they had no chance. They had no budget and it was a very tough ask for them to compete with the likes of Aston Villa, who spent a lot of money. It is good work to get them straight up again and win the Championship for sure.

I think it’s a wait and see, rather have Norwich and Brentford than some of the other crap that thankfully missed out this season oh and Watford who didnt

Thought he was horribly unlucky. Stepped on his heel, which wasn’t clever, but think it was accidental, then got taken for a ride when cleats stuck together. Must have got his shoelace hooked around a stud or something, and looked horrible when his feet came out and looked like he was committing two foot assault. No intent at all, one that actually looks not as bad when you slow it down.

After seeing it back on replay I completely agree. Given the spirit of the match and the rough challenges earlier he didn’t get much benefit. Also no VAR.

Sorry to piss on their parade, but Brentford will go straight back down to the Championship.

Otherwise you have a time machine you should add in your opinion.

Should I, really.

Brentford have developed some sound financial foundation and practices. So, getting relegated will not be so disastrous for them. I guess that will allow them to play their natural game without being stifled by the fear of relegation.

Blackpool-Lincoln in today’s League 1 Final.

Seasiders have been in great form, so thinking they are Champioship bound.

Lincoln ahead on a Blackpool OG 0-1. Lincoln also controlling the pace early on. Blackpool back on their heels a bit.

The old saying “that’s why you play the game” comes to mind.

Blackpool back 1-1. Nice scoring opportunities rewarded.

The world returns to its axis.

Seriously we rate the PL as a bastion of 17 great clubs but the reality is the quality drops off around 12th place.

Leeds have demonstrated that and Villa, all those clubs down there have to yoyo’ed about for the last two decades with one or two exceptions.

So it wouldn’t surprise me if Brentford went down but it wouldn’t surprise me if they stay up, WBA’s biggest mistake was seeking out the bare minimum when in fact Bilic could have kept them up.

“Sorry to piss on everyone’s parade” is not factual it’s your opinion.

Blackpool has the core to achieve in Championship.

And, sadly, Sunderland wishes they were Blackpool

I agree! Some canny buying and keep hold of Critchley and they could be back in the Premiership in a couple of seasons! Great result today

We didn’t loan anyone to Blackpool, interesting.

They’re the perfect club to send a few kids now though!

Definitely, anything is possible. When Sheffield came up a few seasons ago I picked them in preseason to go back down and they finished top 10! The surprise package of the season.

Watching Brentford tho I try to imagine how they’ll fare in the Prem. There is talk of them possibly selling Toney, but i don’t know why they’d do that. He seems their most dynamic player. They remind me of Norwich in that they’ll stick to their style and what they do well, be a charming and endearing side to watch but in the end just not enough quality to stay up.

And speaking of Norwich, good on them for sticking with Farke and keeping their core of players relatively intact.

They’ll sell him because money talks, every player has their price.

Which was the last promoted club that has settled in Premier League? Brighton?

Morecambe-Newport County set for League 2 Final in a bit.

Relatively evenly matched, however Morecambe has been in good form recently.

Did not realize Newport was out of business 30 years ago and owed a lot of money. Great comeback story it seems.
