Bond villain, surely?
The son of Robert Luis-Dreyfus, former owner of Marseille.
Could be interesting to see if he takes after his father - who did a pretty good job at Marseille, or his mother who ran it into the ground
He’s actually a distant cousin of Julia Louis-Dreyfus, of Seinfeld fame. I fully expect to see George Costanza as manager and Kramer as Director of Football before too long.
Mick McCarty in charge of Cardiff for 8 games won 6 and drawn the other two, up to 6th in the table.
From Wikipedia
McCarthy joined Cypriot First Division club APOEL as manager on 2 November 2020; he signed a contract until 2022.[54] He was sacked by the club on 5 January 2021 following a run of 2 wins, 1 draw and 5 defeats in his 8 games in charge.[55]
Watford have signed Carlos Sanchez on a deal until the end of the season.
Bretford lost last night. They are going to mess up, again, aren’t they!!!
Swansea have two games in hand, wouldn’t be against seeing them back.
Watching Swansea-Middlesbrough now. Had forgotten old friend Neil was MID manager.
Oldham have sacked Kewell and will now be looking for their 8th manager under the ownership who took over in 2018 - and just having checked the managerial records none has lasted longer than 7 months, with Scholes having the record of the shortest stint at 1 month.
Talk about a poisoned chalice of a job - but if the moneys good enough, I’d take it for a few months knowing you get a guaranteed payout when you enevitably get sacked
You’d think they would have left him in charge for the season, it’s unlikely they will go down as their form isn’t great but they are getting enough points to survive and they won’t get playoffs.
Apparently they are after Keith Curle, inspirational choice, a man who seems to be manage in that division for eternity.
Knowing his time at Carlisle he will get them into a good position only to burn out.
True, also looking at twitter, it seems as though the fans had responded well to his style and tactical style. Looks like the owner could soon find himself in a fairly nasty battle with the fans if he continually chops and changes managers the way he has done so far
I assume Kewell is more attacking so Curle is a 10 men behind the ball type so that’s just chopping between the two.
Sorry I followed Carlisle for a while due to a friend.
I don’t really know anything about Curle, so can’t comment on him personally, but was more looking at the fact that the owner keeps chopping and changing managers every 6 months - the fans won’t be happy with that as it shows he has no clear plan and is just changing managers willy-nilly
Yup, no plan in place and considering they aren’t under threat I feel it’s a harsh move, after all they were closer to relegation last year.
If results aren’t forthcoming next season then so be it but 12 months minimum and more if it crosses over unless it’s obvious they could go down.
Bilic is the perfect case in point, I think he would have kept WBA up, they won’t stay up now.
Papa John’s s Trophy
