Always good to see Wimbledon do well

Is it? I still haven’t forgiven them.

Still another final at Wembley on June 1: National League, Oldham-Southend.

I think after what MK Dons did to them it is forgiven.

Then again 8th beating 1st wouldn’t be quite a story nowadays.

After all Palace beat Man City that’s 12th V 3rd and Man City have been similarly dominant as we were for years.

It was a lot to do with the contrast in styles - Barnes, Beardsley, Aldridge on one side and Vinnie Jones on the other. They were a horrible team.

Cardiff always looks empty as does Blackburn.

Sad Swansea has fallen off a bit, saying that I went to a few games in their promotion season and there was lower than average crowds.

Portsmouth draw very well.

And then there’s Sheff Wednesday…which is surprising

Some you have to consider on stadium size as well. Cardiff increased their stadium when it wasn’t full. Even in the PL you could get tickets. You couldn’t at Swansea, unless you knew a couple of councillors as I did.

Rather astonishing to see what is happening at Sheffield Wednesday. Their squad is probably not going to evaporate, but they seem very likely to lose any of their more promising or effective players. Nailed on for relegation if it doesn’t happen administratively

Why do I read that and forsee a season ending injury where all parties end up losing?

They should basically battle it out for who wins…

Wrexham welcomed to the Championship with a kick in the ‘nads. Surprisingly dominated play away to Southampton, led 1-0 until 90’, ended up losing 2-1 to a 90’+8 goal, on only the Saints’ second shot on goal.

Welcome to Wrexham episode just wrote itself

Sheffield United are being smashed in score line terms by Bristol here and it’s not really been a 4-1 at all.

Could be a long season for them.

Welcome to the big time, Ryan.

Tough start, especially that last minute loss away which would have been a brilliant start.

Massive challenge to rebuild a team from League 2 to the Championship back-to-back, a tough consolidation season was probably the best realistic case

An honest question:

Millwall seems to be perpetually cemented in the 9-15 spots of Championship.

Is it their ownership, management, or player quality…or all of the above?

Not utter shit…but no progression either.

It’s probably about their level. London club, but well down the pecking order compared to other London clubs so will rarely have any genuine talent come through their youth academy. Most will likely be good Championship or League 1 level players as the better talent will naturally end up at the other London clubs.

Also will struggle to attract players due to South Bermondsey and Deptford not being the greatest area in London to live in.
