I sincerely hope that he does. While he’s on a beach somewhere, with his feet up and sipping a pina colada.
Man Utd, SKY, Ferguson, added (Fergie) time, dodgy decisions, the “product”…
Their success was built on a great manager, great construct, and the sanitising and movement of football to being the product.
Listening to Murphy and Jenas on MOTD sums up the City worshiping narrative for me.
KDB was “clever” going down like he’d been shot from very minimal contact.
Then, in the Forrest game there was an almost identical challenge, in the box, and “there’s not enough contact”.
Pair of fucking has been losers
Never do they think it is required to explain what “enough contact” means. What differentiates one from the other, other than a gut feeling, one that is massively influenced by what you feel about the players involved. That line is supposed to be drawn on the issue of whether the contact materially affected the attacker’s ability to play/retain the ball. Anyone who thinks that of De Bruyne is lying or just hasnt thought about the whole “what are the rules and how are they supposed to be applied” for more than about 2 seconds.
Fcking prick
Who’s this Mac Johnson bloke? Has he never watched the Premier League before?
Martinez got away with those blatant elbows because he’s a Manchester United player.
It’s not VARs fault and on this occasion it might not even be the guy on VAR and the comment from the linesman suggests this to be true.
That’s how bad the refeering is.
Good post
I Personally disagree with enjoyment coming after acceptance. However, it definitely helps with anger/frustration levels, if your level of expectation is grounded.
I, like you, rarely watch non-Liverpool games, although at times will have them on in the back ground. Sport at its best is an Art. I remember recently being in a pub, having food and watching Chelsea v City (WSL) on the TV. Chelsea scored a goal which involved possession for a long time and also numerous passes, I genuinely stood up and clapped. This was because the game meant nothing to me but also because fans should be allowed to appreciate/understand good football at all levels.
I have a more prosaic explanation.
Sky Sports, with Gary Neville championing, have for the past several weeks been gushing in praise for Martinez’s all action fighting defending style.
This then feeds into the PGMOL thinktank of attributing certain qualities to players (according to them, eg, Kane is a saint who can do no wrong, Mo is a diver so beware of giving anything to him, etc).
So Martinez is expected to defend a certain way so gets all the leeway given. If our Darwin did that when tracking back on the left, he’d be sent off with an extra three game ban on top for a second red.
100%
SKY demonised Suarez because Ferguson saw him as a threat. He was seen as a diver.
Salah gets lumped out of it every week and no foul given.
Grealish bends with the wind and there is a free kick.
Neville is currently dictating that particular agenda.
Another clear example of bias toward these cunts.
I didn’t see that incident. Clearly out of control, lunging in from behind both feet off the floor. How isn’t that a red? Fucking hell.
100%.
And unlikely to ever be really challenged
Hold on… this tackle from behind didn’t result in a straight red?
Nope, I switched it on around the 85th minute and his ugly mug was still floating around waiting for a tap in.
But there’s no conspiracy or bias, obviously!
another angle…
he’s a big shite bag mummy’s boy, look at the way to tries to run a way from the incident, before the Evertion players can have a go at him
Well, this league is rigged. Completely and utterly rigged, this is the proof of it.
I’m about to lose interest.
Haven’t seen much said about it, and it wasn’t shown on MOTD, but Salah had a perfectly good goal disallowed against Leicester.
The ball initially came from the Leicester GK when Salah was in the offside position.
Unless I’ve missed something, blatant bias.
