This is not what I expected in this thread, get a grip lads!
I think @Kopstar already has.
The fact there are other factors that can and have caused changes in global temperatures and overall climate in our planet’s very distant past is the sort of distraction climate change denialists use to advocate for rejecting the scientific consensus or accepting it but arguing nihilistically that we cannot do anything about our current situation. Both are bad arguments because we know why climate changed during each of these previous eras and none of those explanations are present right now.
yep. but as I said:
Possibly unrelated and I need to look further to be honest but I was looking at the snow record for a particular ski resort in Andorra the other day. 2012-13 over 2m of snow base at the top of the resort
20-21 - 1m. Possibly a blip but this is base levels i.e. the depth at which they basically create the pistes for skiing etc.
weird thing is, we had record snowfall here in the mountains so we haven’t been under any major water restrictions for what’s been a record period without rain. most folks exhibited common sense and didn’t watertheir lawn more than once a week though.
I remember seeing that in a theatre whilst on a date and dying of laughter.
still one of the funniest movies ever made, IMO.
Ok I’m going to leave @Kopstar star out of this from now on as it’s becoming an obsession.
Really feeling sorry for his wife though.
On a more serious note:
Repeat after me: people are fuckwits.
It’s been 30 years away for 60 years
Difficult is an understatement.
