There is a small but vocal minority who act like everyone promoted from the academy is some sort of make-a-wish kid who is handed everything and earned nothing.
Simultaneously these same people will then place the most ridiculous expectations on these lads. Jones is written off because he’s not as good as Gerrard, arguably the best player to ever play for the club.

He’s not on £50k a week. The first team wage is reportedly around £150k (if not more now), there is no way he would on a third of that.
And who also complain about lack of depth in the squad but want everyone sold.
