Daft Prick Boehly‘s Blue Billion Pound Plastic Bottlejobs (Part 1)

Most embarrassing sacking of the BlueCo era at Chelsea. They literally pulled Rosenior from their sister club to manage them. They knew what they had in Rosenior, and his failure is a direct slap in the face to BlueCo.

I don’t bash Rosenior too much - that’s just an ugly situation all around.

I hope someone like Xabi or Iraola are smart enough to avoid that job.

I think they’re going to sit and wait for Nagelsmann.

I don’t blame Rosenior for taking a job he might never have got a 2nd chance at getting but walking in mid-season was always going to be difficult.

Even before he was hired this piece from Oliver Kay made a pretty strong case that it was an impossible job.

One of the interesting aspects of this is Rosenior is the textbook example of the supposed benefit of the multi club model. Far more than the benefit related to acquiring and developing players, it was the off pitch talent that the feeder clubs were supposed to develop for the top club in the group that was supposed to be where the value was. The lack of any real evidence of this in the 10 years or so since City were doing it is part of what has made people rethink the value of it, but this is I think the first real high profile failure of the concept.

Won’t be able to tell you apart from some of their players, you’ll fit in well

You’re being ridiculous.

Chelsea don’t get into contracts shorter than 8 years.

We’re too tight arsed to pay Slot out a year and a bit of his contract meanwhile Chelsea handing out 6 year payoffs to coaches every few months. Both clubs are a shambles at present point just on extreme opposite ends of the tight arse spectrum.

I’ve just led a team of 11 year olds to a respectable top half finish in a regional youth league. I’ve got to be on the list somewhere.

Hold your horses mate. I think that shows you as being overqualified getting 11 year olds working together

Chelsea will pay you £5 billion for all your team

Did you make the playoffs? Who are you planning to draft?

If that was the only reason then we are fucked.

They had a break clause in the contract so he’s only getting paid for a year

Just heard a wild number…8.3% of 2026 World Cup coaches have been fired by Chelsea

So the moral of the story is: to have a high chance of finding fame as a World Cup coach, go work for Chelsea?

Hope they qualify for the Conference League. Look what’s possible for a team like ManU without the distraction of European football.

Bayern have decided against buying Nicolas Jackson and the player will return to Chelsea in the summer.

Related to that it seems Bayern are really interested in Anthony Gordon.

Im sure everyone heard the news of Caicedo extending his contract and recommitting himself to Chelsea. Some will even seen that underwhelming PR video Chelsea put out about it. I only just found out that the extension takes him from under contract until 2032 to 2033

Just saw a video of someone on Skysports, I think name is Neave, she’s usually pretty good but she was answering what Chelsea need to do to challenge for the league next season and her response was…
Sign James Trafford from Man City
Sign Marcos Senesi AND James Hill from Bournemouth
Sign “a left winger”

That gave them a team of

Trafford
James Senesi Colwill Cucurella
Lavia Caicedo Fernandez
Palmer Pedro LW

Which honestly looks weak even on paper then you add in that James, Colwill and Lavia can’t seem to stay healthy for more than 7 minutes at a time.

Rest of the league must be quaking in their boots.
