His decision making wasn’t that big an issue. His overconfidence in his footballing abilities was.
The crazy thing about Lovren was that he was sometimes extremely good…and then 30 seconds later could occupy a completely different point on that curve. Quantum-level uncertainty, generally not a property you want in your centre backs.
He remained a CB with a head of a 20-year old all his career.
Ball first on his lad. Good tackle that.
I forgot that.
Greatest quote ever “They said money couldn’t buy happiness, but the whole country is laughing at Chelsea”.
Lovren or Skrtel
who is your first choice?
Why decide? Use them both as a settled pair. Shirt-Pull and ScatterBrain. Clean sheets abounding.
Meanwhile, how long until Poch becomes “Under Pressure Poch Pie”? Five goals in six matches. That’s abysmal. Only Luton and Burnley are worse with Ev and Sheff tied with Chelsea on five. Crazy.
One thumping away.
Interesting article - Diplomatically put by Pochettino
Saw that. He’s no longer a serious proposition as a coach in my opinion. Could be proved wrong, I suppose, but I think Tottenham was his high water mark. Not a bad coach but he isn’t going to reach the heights many were touting him for.
Probably would have been able to buy Brighton as a club for not much more than that, surely.
The players must love being lectured post-match by guys who know nothing about football.
Poch isn’t great but thats a bit harsh.
Poch is fantastic, but his performance in recent seasons is a great illustration of how supporting a manager is about a lot more than just spending money. Aligning on philosophy and goals is arguably more important that buying them expensive players.

At least it looks like they’re gonna be consistent with this.
Having Virgil no longer be the only player to suffer from this supposed crack down doesnt mean that are not still capricious in their application of it (woah, way to many negatives in that sentence)
