Daft Prick Boehly‘s Blue Billion Pound Plastic Bottlejobs

8 hours? His father sounds a bit lazy to be honest, my grandad worked down pit 50 hours a day for 2 pittance and seven pence. Maresca’s dad doesn’t know the meaning of hard work.

Luxury. We used to have to get out of the lake at six o’clock in the morning, clean the lake, eat a handful of 'ot gravel, work twenty hour day at mill for tuppence a month, come home, and Dad would thrash us to sleep with a broken bottle, if we were lucky!

I’ve loved watching United collapse over the last decade (but for the layoffs of the club’s staff, which I found despicable). But Chelsea supporters were speaking so arrogantly about going to Old Trafford and winning that I’ll take a United win today. Also, it keeps Amorim in charge for a bit longer, so that’s good too.

Where is Chelsea after all of this investment? They were talking a big game about competing for a title this year.

Still early days, but I thought Chelsea would be better. I was borderline about them putting in a title challenge, but pretty sure top four would be achieved. Not sure what to think at this point. Inconsistent. Less than the sum of their parts. Nowhere near value for all the money spent.

Rory Jennings reactions are so knee jerk, be it his team Chelsea, or LFC, or City, or Arse. I stopped watching his YT content a long time ago. One week, it would be “crisis”, next would be “top of the league and no question”.

Then again, that’s pretty much the same for most of the online content in recent years.

It’s why at least 5 teams have won the title already.

The state of this article bemoaning limited options for the manager:

Gems include:

“it is an irritation that Facundo Buonanotte, who is on loan from Brighton, is ineligible to face his parent club.”

"he has had to defend the club’s decision to cast Axel Disasi and Raheem Sterling into exile.

Maresca made it clear that Disasi would not be recalled to answer the problems in central defence. “There is not any information from the club to consider that so at the moment he is not an option,” he said. Maresca, though, recognises the need for solutions."

That Estevao kid looks like a brilliant talent. And not only talent, but already a serious player for club and country.

Only 18.

Apparently we need to “believe the hype…” Problem is whenever someone says that the player then disappears and becomes a what may have been. Let the lad develop. After all Wirtz was a generational talent but apparently now hes a hopeless donkey.

Who forces who to believe Estevao’s hype? Perhaps most of all the player himself with his performances for Chelsea and Brazil? I’m not in control of the lad’s development, he can develop freely.

What about noise over players who go on and become the real thing? Or should we wait before Yamal is 25 and wins everything a few times before we comment as football fans that he’s brilliant? Everyone has a drop in form.

And Wirtz has gone past the ‘talent’ alone phase, he’s already proved he’s a very good player (even after a big injury) and now needs to prove it in a new club and league.

I am more talking about the BBC, let the lad develop, we’ve seen quality from a lot of 18 year old players who then eithier go on or end up as a footnote on football manager.

I’ve seen Chelsea play shockingly appalling this season, but now this is the latest flavour. Remember who was top of the CL table looking to run riot across Europe last season. If we can turn poor with out much evidence to suggest we could then a team that has turned out some stinkers surely can.
