Daft Prick Boehly‘s Blue Billion Pound Plastic Bottlejobs

Tuchel going with a false 9 when Liverpool and City are going for a traditional center forward.

They could have signed any player in CF position apart from Lukaku

Pulisic will be available soon…

Loves an injury.

This lot need a major rebuild. Hopefully Richarlison will be part of it!

Chelsea have Levi Colwill coming back from Huddersfield, he’s a CB who was one of the best players in the Championship last season so he may get to take up one of those first team roles.

Probably true.

Yeah don’t be silly, if they had a transfer ban perhaps and then he would replaced the following season.

Raphinha is a cracking player and will (sadly) do well with good players around him. Was saying all season that I’d love us to get him so can’t change that now

Bigger picture is how they can blow hundreds of millions, then just write that off and start again. While the world lurches into recession. It’s sick. Worried I will lose interest when the Klopp era is over

I’ve heard loads of reds say the same thing and feel it myself. JK is the shining light in the gloomy and grotesque spectacle the game has become.

They have lots of players to sell or loan for a fee to help off set any spending they do.

Their new owners will have additional funds to invest this summer, that may not be an option next season or beyond.

Aye. Even if we assume this new era will see them run very differently, you would think it would be written into the cost of acquisition that they’d have to spend a decent amount of up front to right the damage caused by the issues of the sale over the past 6 months. When you’ve already spent 4 billion, adding a couple of hundred million on top probably doesn’t move the needle too much if it’s being done to replace, 2 starting CBs, your main CF and possibly your captain given the consequences of not doing that and fall away competitively would massively risk their ability to get return on their investments

I think they will be set up more like us over time, they aren’t the worry to be honest.

Chelsea’s new owners have appointed an “external review team” to investigate allegations of bullying at the club.

A New York Times article claimed conditions in one department led to “toxic workplace culture”.

It said former employee Richard Bignell took his own life in January, with the coroner’s report linking it to “despair following the loss of his job”.

Chelsea will now “investigate the allegations that have been made under previous ownership”.

In a statement, the club’s board, who took over last month, added: 'The club’s new board believes strongly in a workplace environment and corporate culture that empowers its employees and ensures they feel safe, included, valued and trusted.

“Initial steps have been taken by the new owners to instil an environment consistent with our values.”

Bignell was described by the club as a “much-loved” and “very popular and hugely respected member of the wider football and sports broadcasting family”.

The new board added: "Our heart goes out to Richard’s entire family. His passing has been deeply felt by his colleagues at the club and across the football community.

“Upon learning about the circumstances, [the] new ownership has proactively reached out to Richard’s family through their counsel.”

Chelsea launch their new shirt and declare it is in honour Ted Drake, the manager who brought them their first league title in the 50s. According to Chelsea’s PR, he “recruited wisely and in contrast to the past when unreliable big names were signed.”

As described in a report on this kit launching (something that feels very much written for the press to report verbatim)…He is said to have eschewed the club’s previous approach of signing well-known players to attract big crowds by focusing on producing more of their own youth players and bringing in transfers from the lower leagues, and that change led to their first major trophy, on the year of their 50th anniversary.

So, it’s Sterling up top and a couple of kids from the academy and 2 lads from Milwall to fill in at the back.

The 2019 transfer ban helped them to actually use a lot of their talented young players. Probably they could’ve done better with a longer ban - selling Tammy Abraham for 34m and getting in Lukaku for 97.5m is just the type of sale/signings that they love to do.

Why play a young KdB or Salah if a shiny 29 year old is available for an eye watering fee.
