I dont think he had any idea on his assist or his goal. His goal would’ve been a miss if not for the defenders deflection and I believe the assist was a mishit goal attempt. Its the end product that counts, however you can’t keep and fluffing your attempts so much and expect the goals and assists to keep rolling in. It feels like every 1 clean hit, there are 1.5 fluffs.
The other parts of his game so far have been decent to fantastic (other than head-but) I think he is struggling, and seems to have first season syndrome (as per first year of previous club) where he tries too hard, looks for other players rather than being a more direct goal threat.
I think he will be fine this year, and better next year. His goal tally will still be high, ~15 pl.
He had already had that back heal shot saved 5 minutes before so he knew what he was doing. His finish when he attempted to loft it over the keeper was also very good but the space was too short for him to get it over, keeper deserved credit on that.

Yeah that was a decent one, and the getting into those positions is a one of the good to great aspects that I was talking about. Yesterday was just a brutal day at the office, definitely a firing if you worked an office job. Anyway, 3 real games is way too soon, yet its great whining material he is creating.

I think we just wait and see, he’s the width of the post from this being a rather quiet post as if that goes in he probably doesn’t react the way he is.
He is no way the finished article but nethier is Diaz, I expect if Firmino had been fit he would have started. It’s Klopp’s way with players, he is going have to build that trust up with Klopp again.
Dias is much closer though. Looked like he belonged from his first game. That’s fine though, we just have to be patient (and avoid twitter)
