No way he bumps Diaz out of LW, because Darwin isn’t a winger.
He’s a centre forward, pure and simple.
who are you talking about, exactly? Diaz? move our only consistently performing forward out of position and bench the guy who we are spending £350/week on? solid! I like it.
I mean the alternative is to just keep doing the same stuff I suppose.
and your solution is to start dumping crosses into the box for Nunez and Jota by displacing our best forward to the other side of the pitch?
Have we regressed to Carroll/Benteke tactics in September?
Do you really think he wont be able to effective from that side?
He’s going to need a year, just like his first year a Benfica.
you’re trying to fix a tactics and positioning issue by displacing TWO players from their optimum spaces on the pitch, where one of them has operated for 4 years. Yet, the problem isn’t necessarily in that position and definitely not one of the players you’re displacing.
Thanking the Lord almighty that we have Klopp working on a solution and not some of the posters on here
Ever since Fulham I’ve noticed something odd, when he comes on we start to try and pass it into the box when he is off we send crosses in.
I dunno if it’s the team being forced to so by the opposition or…
Reading some of the above posts, he better start firing soon coz that’s a lot of money spent…
Is that really news though? It was always going to be about the money that’s what these people are in business for. 100m euros to Benfica would almost seem like life changing money, they’ll probably never see that kind of money for a single player again.
Well if he doesn’t fire then we won’t be paying the 25m euros extra
Less money for fsg to spend.
I think he is laden with goalscoring threat. His game is quite erratic - he will never look like the smoothest and most accomplished footballer, so if anyone is looking for a nice touch and some Bergkamp sort of skill, it’s not happening.
But what is going to happen is an explosion, when it starts to click. Pace, power, goals, it’s all coming. He hasn’t linked up with teammates yet, and they haven’t learned to find him. But it will start to change soon.
I’m not concerned in the slightest, about Nunez at least.
The midfield has been way off, and in turn so has the defence and attack. Everything that can go wrong has gone wrong so far this season. The head butt was a stupid self inflicted thing that saw him sit out an important spell of integration, where we might also have added a few more points.
But all that’s water under the bridge now.
As we move forward it is going to click for him. He will still look awkward, but the goals will start to flow, and others will have some more space to do their work too.
I predicted from the very beginning that Nunez is just an overpriced mug. Well, I am correct, currently.
Mug, you say?
Yes, looks exactly like a Carroll 2.0 with more pace.
Seriously dude, you are just depressing.
He’s a sexy cunt, who will still bag more goals than Paaland.
