There is the greek lad at Wolfsburg has been spoken about by a few people.
Ac milan have approached us re Darwin.
70m else they can fuck off. Atleast the advantage with Darwin is that his wages aren’t prohibitive.
Let’s see who has the dough.
We’ve already been through a protracted negotiation with Napoli, only for them to not meet the reasonable asking price.
AC Milan are a much better sporting prospect than the Saudis, but if they don’t have the money we will see soon enough.
Al Hilal to swoop (it’s the transfer window!) and then a few pieces to come together for us to sign Isak soon too.
Let’s hope it isn’t the standard Italian offer of on loan for the season with no fee, wage contribution or obligation to buy and deal is dependant on Darwin having enough air miles saved up to make his own travel arrangements.
I expect it is. Lets hope that the club can dismiss it ASAP and Darwin can focus on the only real offer and come to terms with living surrounded by Sand so we can get business finalised promptly.
I wouldn’t be surprised if AC offer less then Napoli did. I can understand Darwin preferring a European league but it might take using the Saudi league as a stepping stone to make that happen after a year or two.
If the Saudis want us to get close to £150m for Isak they’re going to need to go a long way by ponying up a large chunk of that for Nunez.
Ultimately we can’t claim loyalty on Trent and then want to kick others out.
I don’t see a way back at Liverpool so it’s up to him but after Jota I did hope this kind of thing would disappear.
Milan have struggled financially recently, with lots of questions on whether they’d need to sell Maignan to raise the money they need. They have raised good money this summer for Reijders and Hernandez, and with Felix and Morata also off their wages, so maybe that sorts it out in terms of needing sales. Whether that has done enough to give them enough to make us, and Nunez, a good offer…I’d be surprised.
We know their offer will be bullshit. Don’t need timewasting Milanese paupers right now with the season about to start.
That’s what it feels like, but it’s rarely bad if someone you’re interested in moving on has multiple suiters.
Maybe this is one of the times it doesnt work in our favour though if interest from a big european club makes him less interested in accepting a move to Saudi.
I think thats the Italian play here. Hope that the player has his head turned and refuses to spend 52 weeks of the year on the sand and they can then try and ‘negotiate’ a fee. The Italian clubs are basically con artists at this point.
Apart from say a direct swap with Leao i dont see how the deal will go through as AC Milan cant pay even 30 million in cash.
Are they looking to move Leão? Otherwise, I don’t know why they’d splash out on Darwin, having just brought in Giménez over the winter.
They sent Morata and Abraham on loan and lost Felix from last season’s options so I think Gimenez is their only option now.
These fucking names , somehow it’s almost feels like it’s Chelsea.
Leao isn’t someone whos reliable. Talented , for sure. But someone who can be a coach’s nightmare.
Darwin for all his faults is someone who’s much more consistent , even if not in terms of goals.
Milan have agreed a deal to sign Ardon Jashari for €39m so that’s probably them spent up for the window and less likely to stump up the fee for Nunez
