I don’t see it that way, personally. The club has shown the willingness to consider big money purchases, whether it was Mbappé (at Monaco) or Van Dijk. I think they’re just very disciplined in when to pay those figures - prioritizing youth, world class talent, positions of actual need, their wage structure, and the potential to recoup some of the fee with a future sale once the player reaches 30+.
It is exceedingly rare that they’ll find a player who checks all of those boxes. They believe Nunez is one of those rare gems.
3 months? Back on TIA during the Rafa years the Queresma and David Silva sagas lasted years…

Think Nunez might be straight in as our best looking player. Mind you I’ve never understood the Alison thing, doesn’t do it for me.
Thiago is actually very easy on the eye, I didn’t notice it really until he started growing his hair out. My crush is a weird one though so I won’t mention it again.
