Not sure if it’s been discussed in here before, but what actually happens if Trump refuses to concede and hand over power as seems highly likely now? Does it then fall to one of the law enforcement agencies to make the call to forcefully remove him? How fast can the courts dismiss his claims of electoral fraud?
Certainly before it is time to hand over the keys, I would have thought.
I guess then it would be up to some agency, SS I assume, to do the escorting.

No one really knows what the answer is to your question. That gets to the heart of legitimacy, there is not really a constitutional process to follow the failure to observe the constitution. Congress and his Cabinet both have some responsibilites.

Possibly. Their Senate rules are odd. They have races with multiple candidates and will only declare a winner if one of the candidates gets more than 50% of the vote. That often doesn’t happen because of the number of people in the race, which then sends it to a one on one race between the top 2 in January. Georgia has 2 races that both look like going to a Jan run off, but the regular election looks like it could be close enough that a recount could put the front runner over 50%.

They wouldn’t be required to remove him until inauguration in January, so there is not rush on resolving that. However, if he started acting up in the lame duck session there would be ways to remove him from office and install Pence as an interim for the transition, which would require his immediate removal.
but this absurdly long transition, and the potential for fuckwittery, is another aspect of our antiquated system that needs to be fucked off and consigned to history.
