There must be a genuine worry about what sort of damage he could potentially do in that time period, particularly in terms of continuing to rile up certain dangerous elements of his support.
I’m also curious as somebody who doesn’t have a huge grasp of American politics, are there many figures within the Republican Party who have the kind of power and influence to be able to challenge and bring down Trump? It seems like over the past four years he’s got away with doing and saying a lot of mad shit without many from within challenging or questioning the position he’s coming from. If he does just refuse to accept defeat will there be substantial pressure from within to concede, and presuming there is will that even matter to Trump?
I suppose so. I’ve often wondered what is the best way of properly getting to a narcissist. Normally they’re pretty thick skinned to most stuff.
