Agree. I can’t dispute that and didn’t intend to.
I’m in the camp that democracy is a young experiment. Our actual tendency is toward strong men beginning even with our ancestors, the apes. So we will always have this pull toward authoritarian strong men. It will come in waves and then hopefully recede. But it will only recede if we rise above noise and help people. Otherwise I fear for democracy.

It’s a good point about this not being called in a timely manner. It does give more space for Trump’s misinformation, and he is filling his boots with that.
However…
Do it right! And for numerous reasons - couldn’t start counting mail in ballots in several states until late on, plus various reconciling things with envelopes, signatures, etc, plus separating out disputed ballots (not included in count, but probably not enough of them to be significant) etc.
When the count is done right, you have a very good baseline. Then if something is legally challenged, it will be much easier to defeat because the job was done right in the first place.
If there are serious errors, in any significant number, and they happened because of the pressure to rush the job to be able to announce the result, that will be much more damaging in the long run, even more damaging than the damage Trump is doing right now.
The result is now a foregone conclusion. Has been for a while. But finish the job.

Think she was okay at her job, I mean her job was what it is. Still feel that her daughter throwing her under the bus was not on though. Entitlement of the youngsters perhaps or maybe I’m from a different country where we don’t do that.

Her job was not to spread alternative realities. If you are arguing that that the role of disinformation super spreader was her job, then I agree with you. But I don’t think the taxpayers were paying her for that.
