@Alright_Now

I saw your mate Kingy on the telly machine a few minutes ago.

He looks rested, no thanks to you.

Fine. I’m glad he’s doing well. I just don’t see why we had to rest him with the international break ahead. We took an unnecessary risk that Monday morning goalkeepers like you just can’t see.

AOC on CNN.

“You can’t be what you can’t see.”

Does that mean he isn’t in today’s squad?

I thought it was John Curtice, but could be wrong. I certainly doubt the best Pollster wrote what Trump alleges.

Lots of deleted posts, including replies to me…what excitement did I miss?

Intern? One of the consistent themes of this administration has been incompetence. The Trump adminstration has failed over and over again in the courts during his time, and more often than not it has not been because of stellar work of the civil rights groups that stood up, but because of incompetence of the administrations team. In several cases judges have actually ruled against them while saying it was not because of the merits but because the case had been prosecuted so terribly.

This has already been revealed as a plant. She is not a random Trump voter, but a GOP politician. The NYT has now developed an odd reputation for doing this, such that the second they put a piece out like this it is immediately checked by the internet and ties between these “random” trump supporters and the GOP are revealed. This is maybe the 4th in the last month Ive seen.

I’m really looking forward to seeing what she can do over the next four years.

Oh okay. I was just making an observation, not criticising.

Van was one of the principle drivers of the crime reform bill trump signed, and he used his personal relationship with Jarrod to get Trump on board with something he was not naturally inclined to support. There is a certain amount of leeway you have to give him for doing what is necessary to get legislation that was important to him passed. Some of the more generous interpretations of his strange pro-trump takes on CNN over the years have been based on that idea (he just lied about a US service man’s death, but “today was the day Trump became president” because he said nice things about the soldier’s wife.)

But I think the bigger things is he an access whore. It is one the biggest problems we have with our media and politics.

I don’t know much about the state of Delaware and Wilmington city. Has anyone been there?
What is it like and the people?

It’s amazing how elections are used to support people’s priors. Dems lose seats in moderate districts that were newly won and search for an explanation. Is it that AoC needs to shut the fuck up because she scares moderate voters? Or is it that the seat is a Rep leaning district that only went Dem in 2018 because in a midterm election voting Dem for the house was the only rebuke to Trump available to the voters, and now they had the option to vote for Biden they were a lot more comfortable voting for the house candidate they wanted?

Many of the policies the likes of AoC support have decent popular support. There are arguments that can be made to get Republicans behind them, assuming the Senate runs as a normal political body. If they do the GOP’s work for them and label them as estreme and socialist off the bat then they are dead right out of the door.

I wanted to say something similar but in a much more agressive tone.
There is no way Biden is forged of the same stuff as Trump. Biden is a conservative respectuous of the people, the institutions … He is the polar opposite to Trump from a different planet.
It’s baffleing and worrying that people can so ignorantly state such rubbish. I’m embarrassed and angry just reading such nonsense.
Even if I Biden doesn’t engulf my political beliefs it is evident he is a step in the right direction (which is probably an advantage over someone more radical (a slow change back to ‘normal’ rather than a frontal assault)).
I even, now, believe the Biden ticket might be a way back for the Dems (the problem was getting him in) and for the USA to start rebuilding something politically decent.
Your mention of McCain is spot on imo. I’m miles from either politically however both seem decent enough people. There isn’t anything decent about Trump.

I been to Providence for the day. I saw the water park there. It looked quite a well to do city.

Possibly a good piss up.
