Will it go on like this until January, or will he “see the light” at some point and go on a big farewell tour?

Has Mitch acknowledged his own victory? Because if so, I’m not following his logic.

Yes, I think like this until January 2024.

@Livvy I’ll guess he’s lost enough lawsuits in his life to know he’s about to lose some more. So, he probably just wants to keep hate alive until round 2 in 2024.

Precisely. He is also holding an event for newly elected senators.

Consistency is not something to expect from Mitch.

I dont think it ends. Not until they bury him, even then I bet it will be on his tomb stone

You’d think, at some point, some degree of rationality might cross the Republican Party minds and they realise that they have a really chance in 2024, but if they carry on like this even their own supporters are going to get pissed off at them

I’d think that if they spend the next four years engaged in one long tantrum, that’s not going to play well at all.

I agree with you. Which means we’re both wrong. None of us are able to come to terms with this phenomenon.

If the GOP Republicans are going to be in a mood for the next 4 years, then, isn’t that a plus point for the Democrats and the rest of the world, right?

Depends on who controls the Senate. If the Senate is controlled by Republicans determined to obstruct Biden at every turn, he will have a great deal of difficulty getting much implemented.

They’ve been in that mood for at least the last 4 and arguably the last 12 years. And yet…here we are, which is nowhere.

Face it, it's over.

Surely getting anything done is niether here or there. It’s what you say and in some cases that you tweet that counts. If Biden gets the communication right then things might work out.
