But it is depressing, in the extreme, how close this will be. There are an incalculable amount of, can’t even write what I think of them, in the US. The word I want to use is very, very strong and it is no swear word or curse.
These early vote dynamics are critical. Apparently a small percentage of the early votes counted in OH so far and the opposite in N Carolina. If this reporting is accurate.

This is in Norwegian, but I think the news it contains is so clear that I don’t have to translate. So damning that Americans have voted this person in. So utterly damning ! In Norwegian it looks horrible and it doesn’t look better in English.

It is going to be close. A horrible indictment of America and Americans but so it is.
I do think Biden will win, but it will not be the landslide it should have been. It is also possible at this moment that Trump will be re-elected, which should have been an impossibility.

Given it does not seem to be a turn out issue, it seems many are too embarrassed to admit they support Trump.

Yepp, a lot of those “I know he is a horrible person but I prefer a horrible person and what’s going on to dangerous Democrats”.
I was writing a very, very long post but I realised that I was just rage ranting at American voters,but no use so won’t bother with that bile. I am angry though. Very angry that it is so close.
I’m not full blown panic drinking yet, but I’m pretty damn close…

I don’t think the US will recover from Trump either, not when it is this close. There is no resounding reaction to the insanity that has been Trump’s rule. The US looks fucked to me even with a Biden win. I am flabbergasted and sad. For **** sake, Trump is even still at this moment in time leading the popular vote. He’ll lose that in the end, but in no galaxy in an orderly universe should that be anywhere close.

Yeah, bet makers in for Trump, this is looking grimmer now. Biden no longer leads Ohio, looks more and more Trump.
I am grieving for the world now. Even if Biden wins, it will be much, much too narrow a win to give him anything like the mandate he needs to resurrect transatlantic cooperation. No one can ever trust the US after this. Too many, much too many, Americans are just obscene.
I am frightened now. The world I grew up in, is dead. The West, certainly the US, is something else now, something much more sinister.

Still some distance. Still some distance. Recovering from a conservative populist like you have in the UK is very possible, Trump and his enablers are after all very different in important ways. Without Brexit and the many strong opinions around that matter, it is hard to say.
I just don’t think there is any reason to panic in the UK, you don’t have 50% of the population that is purely delusional and only cares about hurting the other party.
Sitting up watching this unfold. I expected a big Biden win but now it is going down to the wire, which is very disappointing. Also illustrates how shit all the poll sites are… their new, sophisticated models, after getting it so wrong last time? Nope. Still shit. Still need to sharpen their pencils.

Mood is bad, and then I let the cat in. Didn’t notice she had a mouse in her mouth and I have been now working 5 minutes to get both of them out. Bloody sadistical cat just killed it and devoured it all on a carpet, sigh. Took so long killing the creature that I loudly exclaimed “please kill it” to the cat and thankfully she bit down with a crunch through those bones ending its misery.
