Yes, comparing Trump’s defeat to crucifixion of Christ or the murder of actual people who died because of their religion. It’s one of MAGAs favorite fantasy, and certainly one of the more repulsive ones.
Perhaps they mean something else this time, perhaps it is just a symbol of what they misguidedly believe to represent. I almost hope so.

Yeah, but it’s so damaging for their social cohesion this. So incredibly damaging sociopolitically and socioeconomically. I really wonder how many decades the US will pay a butcher’s bill for what has transpired during this presidency, but it is going to be more than one. Long term damage will be extreme, MAGA won’t go away tomorrow and the GOP is a fundamentally changed party.
