More like UAE. Kushner has been working so hard all those years.
Erik Prince lives in Dubai…
By the way (this is light hearted and not very academic, obviously lots of unknowns concerning this), incidentally, yesterday, if someone wanted to destroy the US and kill hundreds of millions in a First Strike and then maybe, maybe hoping they could get away with it with a General Ripper style retaliation ( Mr. President, I’m not saying we wouldn’t get our hair mussed. But I do say no more than ten to twenty million killed, tops. ), yesterday night would probably have been the most opportune time since the Cold War since the command chains in the US were rattled, which would maybe (probably even likely) have lead to delayed retaliation. Technically, if the US was to be destroyed completely, allies would be in a rough position to retaliate, which is a strategic War Game scenario that is actually sometimes played out in real life (or close enough anyway).
Just some positive thoughts for you all since Trump has the nuclear so called football around his person Let us just say that it’s pretty good yesterday didn’t happen during the height of tension of the Cold War.
From what I read, the only “safe way” to get rid of him completely is impeachment, otherwise, if they “only” use the 25th, he could run again in 2024.
No it doesnt. It means a person that induces others to break the law. Nothing about sides.
Im not spreading anything, was just asking questions in relation to some gaps.
Take your aggression elsewhere its not welcome.
Yes, and the 25th is also almost impossible to use.
But it’s possible. Have you read George Convay’s thread ? He explains how it would come to be etc.
Have a read if you want (unless you have already read it of course) :
The two are not mutually exclusive. He could be removed from office with the 25th, then impeached in Congress.
Hmph, I actually thought it was either or. Thanks for the info ! I didn’t know he could be impeached if he was removed and so technically no longer president. Is that because he would be technically within the term of a presidency, meaning they would have to impeach him before Biden takes office ?
Impeachment only applies whilst in office though. Its right, if he is removed under the 25th, then impeachment falls away.
He probably should focus on pardoning himself of all crimes committed by him and his family on the last day of his presidency.
Ah OK, good to know. Imo, if they do something, they should make sure that he never comes back.
I fear he will (pardon himself and his closest cohort). But he is a malignant narcissistic sociopath and he is desperate. I think the man just is unable to lose. He cheats at golf after all. It is hard to say what he can do in the remaining days in office, none of the professors I usually read are certain of anything but it being uncertain (and everyone hates uncertainty when it comes to leaders of great powers). Very smart very knowledgeable people are actually a bit afraid. They don’t think he will for do anything worse than what happened yesterday, but they don’t know, and some fear a diversion strike on for instance Iran. No one thinks it is highly likely, but many admit it as a possibility and this scares those people, perhaps understandably so. In geopolitics, uncertainty is the worst as it can lead to miscalculation. And Iran went on yellow alert some days ago, and we all know what happened the last time they thought they were under attack by US cruise missiles.
Not the case, impeachment is not merely removal from office. None other than Gaetz was calling for Obama to be impeached after Trump’s inauguration - there is no bar to it, it is just pointless in most contexts.
What because the remedy is removal from office. Its otiose if the 25th is invoked.
The other element of the remedy is that the subject may also no longer hold Federal office - subject to a second vote.
Impeachment means he can never hold office again.
Might be worth it on that chalk, but still could be overkill, he is ruined politically. I mean the lower leagues are Pol Pot et al, and now a new one trumps in.
I’m not convinced he’s ruined politically. This guy has infinite lives. The reasons for his rise have not gone away just because of his dangerous idiocy. And he will keep exploiting those. That’s the one reason I am in favor of impeachment.
To be fair I had told @Magnus I wasn’t in favor of it because the last failure emboldened Trump and led to this. But I’ve come around to it now. Just because he has 2 weeks left doesn’t mean bygones are bygones. Society is built on constructs for a reason and we all sign social contracts. Even he and his treacherous cronies.
These were never the sharpest knives. They are blunt tools, alone, no strategic threat, at best they can kill a few people if they go amok before defeated by law enforcement. However, manipulation can make blunt tools into sharp weapons if there are good enough demagogues and enough propaganda. And there is, because propaganda has made individuals part of a large group, and groups are dangerous if incited by demagogues even if the majority of them are relatively dumb.
Personally, I am happy that Trump is getting the blame for this, but he is not the only one of the demagogues. There have been many who have fed MAGA with cynical lies. These people are far more responsible than the mob according to my set of ethics at least.
