Two videos contained in this article make for interesting viewing. The first is video of the rioting; the second how the case is being presented formally before congress.
The disparity in these, well only the USA could generate such. It was a joke - turned into the greatest threat and assault on our democracy. Pragmatism is going to be a real high price in the coming months.

He tried going down that route but he kind of lost the crowd for a while. He won them back when he started talking about Trump as a saviour sent by God.
(… he also lost them entirely when he described Hitler as a “bad man”. The crowd just goes silent and he quickly moves on to talking about China. The podcast Knowledge Fight is really good, it basically just follows all of Jones’ content in a comedic way. I’d recommend today’s episode for anyone who wants a timeline of the 6th).

It’s obviously a tent, thought it was later in the day.
This is not by any means the end of Trump or Trumpism. It’s just another situation where the boundaries are pushed and then they wait for the reaction. Until now, the reaction has been pretty weak, so they have been emboldened to go further. If, as is probable, nothing substantial comes of this other than a few arrests, they will take it to another level next time. There will be plenty of opportunities to create havoc for the Biden presidency and build towards a second term for Trump. If he gets in again it really will be the end of US democracy. That much is clear. This is no time for complacency, there has to be clear bipartisan leadership to quell this threat.
