Seeing a few more GOP members talk about Trump resigning so as to get him in the “rear view mirror.” That phrasing bothers me. They still have not learned. They shouldn’t be allowed to conveniently put this behind them. Their legacy must be permanently associated and stained with his. Even if he resigns (which would be great), impeachment and legal actions must proceed.

Indeed, there needs to be a reckoning, at the very least “truth and reconciliation”, or this will be normalised completely and will happen again. It is very dangerous not to let them off without consequences. It sets precedents.
