Apparently the problem described here has only become worse since 2005 - much worse, it would seem.

She did. Colorado district 3. There’s at least one other of these Qanon fruitloops in congress also: Marjorie Taylor Greene. I think there might be one from Utah too?

He should get the Congressional Medal of Honor for this. The civilian version has been cheapened somewhat after Trump gave it to four golfers last year.

The military version was cheapened when they gave 20 of them to the troopers at the Wounded Knee Massacre.

Of course, they would not give Winters one for his action at Brécourt.

Reminds me of the scene from Mike Bassett: England Manager where the crazy CB Gary Wackett was filmed rioting with the hooligans on TV.

I would say your thinking is hugely exagerated.

It’s not so much what it will manifest as it’s more what it is. In my view decades if not centuries of nonsense. It’s something very ingrained in our societies which has widespread justification. It won’t go away overnight.

Why didn’t they give Winters one for it?

Im balooning out laughing here… :balloon:

No its not going to dither away overnight without controversy or event, but I dont see any HUGE big event coming from it, the Alamo will still be, the Alamo. I dont see loads of armed Trumpists holed up inside central Atlanta keeping out the security services, declaring a new golf State and insisting of a force diet of tinned steak and cheese, and Mormonism. Could take 10 years though, to whittle it down, and render it outside.

Now this is pretty fascinating…

Oren Orr, 31, an arborist from Robbinsville, N.C., where he goes to Santeetlah Baptist Church, rented a car to drive to Washington. He carried his American flag right up below the officers on the bleachers, and his wife had a Christian flag. Mr. Trump could be the last president to believe in Jesus, he said. (Mr. Biden speaks often about his lifelong Catholic faith, and unlike Mr. Trump, attends church services frequently.)

However, and forgive me if this sounds blunt, it is rather unsurprising to see people like this so easily hoodwinked by such an obvious charlatan.

I didn’t know there was a Christian flag until now. :woman_shrugging: Must be an American thing.

If it is I’m unfollowing him on Twitter.
