I can’t remember which thread @Iftikhar asked the question over the US reaction to Iran’s nuclear programme under Biden but it appears that the author of the earlier twitter thread I posted still thinks things are moving in the right direction.
AOC raised that sum in less than 96 hrs. Many members of congress do not have the capacity to raise that much in their 2 year term. It’s a sign of her political power, IMO.
My hope is that her time will come in due course. The policies are good, and many millennials are drawn to more progressive politics. In the meantime we have Biden… not exactly an inspiring leader who you would run through a brick wall for, but statesmanlike enough, getting stuff done already. He represents a broader tent, but I suspect in years to come the likes of AOC will hold more sway.
In the meantime, she is already a force to be reckoned with, and will exert increasing influence to include some of her ideals on the Democrat platform.
I guess there’s an element of hilarity in it, but it actually creeped me out.
