There’s even the possibility of a self-pardon. 
It’s crucial to keep Trump out of the Presidency. If he gets another go, then whatever he learned in the first four years will be put into practice to further enrich and ensconce himself, his family, and his cronies in power. The first time around will seem tame by comparison.
If the Proud Boys were attacking the Capital at the behest of their supreme leader, Trump, then hopefully the convictions help to strengthen the case for prosecuting Trump for this.

A first responder in the Texas mall shooting pours water over the bullsh*t GOP narrative:
“It wasn’t mental health that killed these people, it was an automatic rifle with bullets,” he said.
“Prayers and condolences won’t bring these people back. We need action in the federal and state legislatures for better gun control,” witness Steven Spainhouer told MSNBC.
“I’m saying this as someone who loves guns….I’m a former police officer. I’m a former Army officer.”
Spainhouer rushed desperately to aid those wounded and dying after shots rang out a little after 3:30 p.m. May 6.
He said the victims had such horrific injuries that they had to be loaded into police cars because ambulances would not have gotten them to nearby trauma facilities fast enough.
He also said he also found a child, who survived while covered by his protective mother who had been killed.
Will he get a “blue” check mark or insist on “red”? Might not help Musk reconnect with cautious advertisers.
I dont know if “interesting” can do justice for something this grim, but it will be interesting to see if Tucker beats the trend. There has been a long series of men in the 8pm weekend slot who were effectively the face of Fox news and had the ability to shape a narrative for a political side, and each time they were forced out they became less relevant and Fox news kept going.
I do wonder whether it’s different now. There wasnt a OAN or Newsmax to turn to when O Riley got fired. Fox was the place to go for that coverage and so whomever else went into the 8pm slot was who people would listen to. I do think these viewers have now been trained a little bit to go somewhere else to get their fix if the 8pm replacement doesnt cut it or Tucker can find a place with enough accessibility.
As an aside, I had the unfortunate opportunity of encountering Tucker back in his CNN days. How thoroughly awful he and his family were even back then makes this destination not that surprising.
