Trump has narrowed the gap a bit, some now say that if he continues like this he has a good chance of taking the lead. Others say he still won’t make it.

For much of yesterday the Nates had been pointing out that Biden could expect a 70% share of the remaining votes in PA which would be enough for him - that was the problem with the BBC figures you looked at and its lack of nuance.
I was factoring that in. The issue I had seems to be the estimate as to what % of the votes had already been counted. That seems to have been overestimated as with 14% left, Biden picking up 70% of those wasn’t going to be enough. It seems that the predicted % of Biden support in the remaining ballots was about right, but there were a lot more votes remaining than originally estimated.
How come the Guardian has different/higher numbers, are they ahead of others through some sources or are just updating faster?
Guardian is highly unreliable. They are claiming Arizona to Biden while in their own page showing only 86% of ballots counted.
It’s not unreliable, they’re getting their data from Associated Press, who have declared Arizona for Biden. In their text updates they’ve said it’s worth keeping an eye on the state for further developments.

was APs declaration before or after the figure of the remaining votes increased? AP are towards the conservative end of making declarations, given the narrowing of the vote earlier that would be quite a significant declaration from them if it is post edison error.
