Ding Dong.....the US Politics Thread (Part 1)

Maybe. I do think it speaks of them not being prepared and having amateurs to do the counting though. Amateurs is fine, but amateurs need some training and I do think this points to someone forgetting to demonstrate to those amateurs how you upload and so on.

I can only agree. I pointed to the Uninstalling meme, not what Biden says (Biden has been fantastic so far and only said the right things). The country will not at all be restored, this election only proved how deep the rot is and it is silly false propaganda from my pov. Democrats don’t have the time to lie to themselves.

So the media have been chucked outta the Arizona count centre as armed folk turned up. Lovely.

That wouldn’t happen if Sean Connery was still alive.

Nevada’s count started to move again huh? It noticed with alarm that Georgia, Pennsylvania and North Carolina counts were starting to go towards Biden, any one of which would confirm him as President and they thought, “Don’t even think about stealing this away from me, this is MY MOMENT!”

You are too harsh imo, mistakes are happening all time, it’s just human. Most important thing is that they have noticed that and aren’t trying to cover it up.

@Magnus the priority and objective of Biden presidency would be damage limitation. Not creating more crisis, maybe smooth some ruffled feathers.

What’s happening with North Carolina? Their numbers don’t appear to have moved at all today.

Everyone get their Leo as Gatsby gifs ready for when Nevada is announced as the 6 to take Joe to 270.

Indeed. I agree. But they also need to reflect and think deep for some time. Some how, in the future, they need to be able to shake off some of those GOP votes.

Maybe I am. I just found it strange that it happened several places. But for sure, the only really important matter is that they are all counted in the end.

Honestly mate, what did you expect? Even if some states would have been a little better for Biden, none of the systemic, structural problems would have just evaporated, nor would the Republicans have become sane again overnight.

Gonna laugh my arse off when PA renders moot a shit tonne of the effort put into this thread.

@mattyhurst was it you I responded to earlier about PR? I guess they just had a referendum on it and it passed. They have voted on it before, but the vote was not binding so we’ll see what happens now.

Probably not I don’t think I’ve mentioned PR today.

I am not so sure about that. Georgia should not be in question if that is the case, it was Republican bedrock not that long ago. North Carolina should not be in question now. Texas turned out not to be as close, but the same signs are there. There are Republicans who are becoming quite aware that their Reagan coalition may no longer be a winning one.
