I wouldn’t read into that much. Portugal set up to play differently to how Klopp sets us up. That’s to ensure they can get the best out of Ronaldo. Time for him to put his feet and up relax for a couple of weeks. Expect him to be fully fit come the start of our season.

He scored 2 goals in 4 games without getting to play any of the whipping boys some of the other players have padded their stats with, and while playing in a side that was a generally considered to be playing with the handbrake on. He also did well in creating a couple of goals for others.
I think he should have done better with that chance in the second half he blazed over the bar, but all in all he had a pretty productive tournament considering.
