Yeah, after his first two seasons Maca was being talked about as one of the best signings weâd ever made given his impact at the price we paid. And now heâs chopped liver to a significant number of fans, getting it in the neck every week for his performances. A good player can go bad from season to season. A collection of players with this track record of being this good dont all make that turn at the same time unless there is something happening outside of the playersâ control.
This season has been bad enough that maybe we need to shake things up to fix it, or sell a prized asset to fund the signing of players to fill critical gaps. I can understand people thinking Dom is a target for that. But no one should be shoved out on the back of them not performing this season because whatever we saw this year was quite clearly not an issue of the players not being good enough.

I still wish we bought Rice in summer 2022 instead of Dom in summer 2023 as Hendo successor. Things would have been totally different.
Considering the ponderous way we play, I donât think Rice would have solved that.
