The way I see it, LFC have committed to him and Gravenberch as key players for the next years. As they have with Isak, Wirtz and arguably also Gakpo with the salary heās on.

Great news. Probably why transfers have been a bit quiet for a bit as we have been focusing on this with Hughes being said to have been leading negotiations.
Never ever counts out Madrid coming in but we are in a much better position to stamp down a take it or leave it fee of about 130 mil.

Dom looks less likely to be an individual star that I thought he would be in the beginning. He has great individual abilities of course but Last season I see the potential in him to be in a world class midfield with others. At times he is the best CM we had last season and I think he lacks now is coaching to exercise discipline, what to go for, where and when to run and push. Last season he ran and ran and sometimes nearer to the end of matches he got tired and became irrelevant. I hope Iraola turns him into a cog in the great machine like how Klopp turned 3 really good players in Hendo, Fabinho and Gini into a midfield machine thatās world class in what they do collectively. Looking forward to the next iteration of Dom under the new boss

Itās good news that Dom has signed a new contract, but he isnāt captain material imo. Keep him away from the armband please.

I have to admit I have my doubts about that, too. I recently saw a short Hungarian interview with him where he was asked what he could imagine doing after his careerāwhether he might want to become a coach or something along those lines. He said probably not; instead, heād rather follow a path like Beckhamās. Sighāwhat can you say to that?
But who knows, maybe heāll change after all. He is still very young, after all.

Whatās wrong with that? Very few players go into coaching or management, especially players at the top level.
And say what you like about Beckham but heās a global football icon and owns his own club who currently have possibly the greatest player most of us have ever seen playing for him.
Heāll not reach Beckham heights but heās huge in his own country so why not pursue what makes you happy and no doubt incredibly wealthy.

He was given the Hungarian armband at 22 so must offer something. I see some leadership on the field and speaks well when I have seen him interviewed.
Who knows what he is like in the sheds or whether he is a dick. But he looked all boss, popular and star factor in the recent training video of the lads.
Now that Mo and Robbo are gone letās see who the new boss appoints as vice captain.
Maybe Ali or maybe Dom I reckon.

He can be a future captain but for now, I still think he is lacking a certain edge to be a great captain now. Not every great player is necessarily a great captain. Most classic case is Sami who is a legend but he admitted he played better after losing the captaincy to Stevie.
Especially considering he will know how haggard and stressed Klopp was at the end and how short Slotās tenure was. If you saw that youād rather not bother.
