Dominik Szoboszlai (AM) RB Leipzig

Regarding the pronunciation thing. His name contains the word ‘boss’ in the middle.
I can’t see how the Kop are going to ignore that.

According to Googles, Hungarians pronounce sz like a standard English S, whereas in Polish sz would phonetically be the voiced postalveolar fricative ʒ like Emre Can or the g sound in the English word ‘Beige’. Any Poles on here that can confirm?

Sorry my mates. It’s DOM-I-NIC

I was thinking the same about the post above.

I’ve heard from a mate who’s friend with a Hungarian priest that’s it’s actually pronounced:

DEM-O-NIC

Nice to see another signing in the midfield, looks to be a quality addition. I guess the FSG thread will be quiet for at least 3 days. Some of our buys are very astute under the radar buys. I’m liking that. We are no longer letting journalists or other managers pick our players.

Copied at 0:50. Rewind it as much as you like. I did it at least 10 times.

Another uncalled for update to the great CM rankings debate. I have expanded the chart to include all CMs of relevance (over 1000 minutes) from the PL. I did however forget Fabinho so he will have to be in version 4.0.

The way the scoring worked this time is that the players were rated per category with the top 10 and bottom 10. Category winner (the player with the best stats) gets 10 points. 2nd place gets 9 etc. Bottom gets -10 points, 2nd bottom gets -9 etc. Then the number of times you were top 10 gets totalled and added to the score - for example if you are top 10 5 times you get 5 additional points. In reverse the number of times in the bottom 10 is deducted from the score.

Here’s the top 25 under this system…

Mostly as expected with the notable exception of Stuart Armstrong who shows up strong who showed up well by finishing in the top 10 five times and never in the bottom 10.

Liverpool Players:
Trent Alexander-Arnold: 5th, 73 pts
Dominik Szoboszlai: 8th, 67 pts
Thiago Alcantara: 13th, 51 pts
Jordan Henderson: 19th, 30 pts
Alexis Mac Allister: 24th, 20 pts
Naby Keita (2021/2022): 33rd, 15 pts
Stefan Bajcetic: 44th, 7 pts
Harvey Elliott: 63rd, -4 pts
Curtis Jones: 66th, -6 pts
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (2019/2020): 76th, -17 pts

Here’s the bottom 10…

Players Linked to Liverpool recently…
Jude Bellingham: 6th, 72 pts
Declan Rice: 25th, 20 pts
Kouadio Kone: 31st, 16 pts
Gabri Veiga: 34th, 14 pts
Moises Caicedo: 39th, 10 pts
Khephren Thuram: 43rd, 9 pts
Nicollo Barella: 47th, 6 pts
Matheus Nunes: 51st, 3 pts

Thanks, interesting I did not expect to see Tielemans and Fred above Mac Allister.

It’s probably been mentioned, though I don’t remember seeing it, have we had any ‘Mighty Magyars’ playing for the club before?
