I’m at the stage where I am thinking that maybe it is best if they do, ASAP, because that would force every leader and analyst in Europe (UK government and Munich Group ++++) to get over the denial phase, to get over hope; and whip them into instantly acting and calling for emergency parliamentarian sessions, which should probably have happened today and not in the future:

Let us face it, be serious. Almost all of Europe is in apathic panic mode, frozen still in shock and horror, unable to act decisively with speed, desperatly looking for a return to better trans-atlantic relations and working hard for just that. Because the alternative is so bad, so expensive and so politically explosive (return to Total Defence and conscription, massive armament programs etc.) and is hardly election winners. They are all desperate, thinking, we can’t do this, too expensive, we will lose elections etc.
But if the US fucks off tomorrow, it forces it. Perhaps it’s what is needed now. You can hope that your wife is coming back, but if she takes a rocket to Mars and establishes a colony there with a vast harem of Russian men, you will realise that she is never coming back.

Yeah, I don’t think the US actually exiting NATO is a worse situation that the present one, and will make it harder for the US to look past what is happening.

A friend of mine bumped into Trump’s entourage in the mid 2000s in St Andrews. Apparently he is terrible at golf. He has a couple of gofers that recover his errant shots and drop the ball at a convenient point on the fairway.
That story actually reminded me of a scene in the James Bond film Goldfinger where the titular villain cheats at golf with Bond.
I wonder what Trump is up to at Fort Knox?

Yeah, I have seen that. Didn’t post his first take, because I honestly did not agree with it, and thought it “cope”. His follow up makes much more sense and I can only agree.
