Conveniently (or maybe he is that uneducated) forgetting WHY Europe (and Germany in particular) took a view towards less armament and demilitarisation. It was fucking PLANNED with the US! That’s also why NATO came to being. It’s like these idiots don’t study history!

One of the big foreign policy objectives of Obama’s first term was the development of a closer relationship with Russia then under Medvedev’s supposed leadership (we’ve since learned he was probably never really a real PM). Lots on the MAGA side amazingly have learned enough about history to know about that, but know so little about everything that happened from the time Putin replaced him that they think it a gotchya question to ask why it was ok for Obama to extend a hand of friendship to Russia then and not for Trump to do it know.

It’s astonishing stupidity.
