I am an American citizen who moved here in 1996. This is yet another example of the wide chasm in how much confidence you have in having something useful to contribute vs actually having any idea what you are talking about.
But your seeming confusing of me with someone else aside, even if what you wrote about me were true it wouldn’t change that you could just read either of those pieces I posted and see that the government is not claiming he committed any crimes. Rubio has personally commented that it is action being taken to protect US foreign policy. Damn me and my far left attitude of being willing to read.
This issue is not about whether or not you agree with the protests. It is about what the government is required to demonstrate before they punish someone for their contribution to them. If someone supports the government plucking out a single person from a collective activity and not being required to demonstrate he has done what they are critical of the protests for having done, for not being given an opportunity to answer those accusations, for doing so in violation of a court order and acting in a way the courts have previously already ruled as being unconstitutional, then that person has no business criticizing the left for having become extreme. That is just fascist boot licking.

Surely someone has pointed out that anything happening to ine of them due to the lack of prtection will be tantamount to killing the republican party getting re-elected for a long time

A lot of that is Trump’s petty bullshit. He did that to a number of Republicans who served in his first administration who later criticized him.

I know he is a petty and vidictive prick, but cutting the Secret Service protection of a former presidents children is a whole new level of crazy that the republican party will be fucked royally should anything happen to either of them.

It is standard practice to only extend this for 6 months, just long enough that a normal presidential kid has time to get out of the limelight. For people like Chelsea who continued to generate the ire of the political opposition they can apply to extend that there is normally a fairly uncontroversial automatic acceptance of such requests. To go out of the way to do it early, to make a show of it, and for a person who has been the target of wild conspiracy theories is clearly a signal being sent out

The left’s finger waving moralizing consists largely of randos online. The right’s version of that is now all over the federal government, salivating at their new found ability to impose those standards on everyone via the power of the government. Perspective is needed.
